Bizruption III ended on a high note. It was heartening to see people leaving with happy faces and excited for the next edition. Attendees from all corners of Australia not just Sydney, even business owners from New Zealand, said they all took something away, ideas, inspiration, contacts and energy were amongst them. A big thank you to everyone who ardently supported the efforts of team Netstripes in putting together the event.
The evening kicked off with a lot of excitement. Jess Wilson, the founder of Stashd app presided over the event, infusing a lot of fresh energy in the room. The proceedings started with the keynote speaker Ms. Robyn Hobbs, NSW Small Business Commissioner. She is a big supporter of NetStripes’ mission to help small businesses get fully digitally engaged.
Robyn believes that small businesses need to look forward, move in that direction and rethink how they reach out to their customers. She stressed that success of every business stands on four pillars – financial planning, product or service differentiation, marketing plan that makes you stand out of the crowd and to top it all up, a phenomenal customer service.
Netstripes Bizruption Homepix Photography – 114Dinesh, founder and CEO of NetStripes also shared his vision on small business’s digital engagement and the steps he has taken to help the cause. He shared how innovation and technology has enabled a new way of doing business and how it help the businesses stand out from the crowd.
Like every Bizruption, Netstripes loves to give a different flavour to the day. This time, a game helped bring the word networking to life. The aim of the exercise was to help all attendees to talk about their businesses to everyone else. They were divided into groups and every member was given 30 seconds to describe their business to each other. The group was then asked to choose the best pitch. Members with top pitches were invited to present in front of the entire crowd of roughly 70 attendees.
This was then followed by general networking. Bizruption was a huge hit amongst the attendees and there was a positive feedback from all the people who attended the event. We would like to thank Anthony Burns from Homepix Photography (02 9705 1044) for sponsoring Bizruption’s photography.
