Netstripes 9th Bizruption was a resounding success having attracted over a 100 like-minded entrepreneurs, key influencers and VIPs. It was absolutely fantastic having so many unique individuals coming together to share ideas and support one another.
Special thanks are deserved to Optus who not only sponsored the event but also provided the venue at their campus. Without their support the 9th NetStripes Bizruption would not have been possible.
The event started with a heart thumping curtain raiser that revealed some incredible statistics and a vision for changing the world of small business in Australia. It was discovered than an SME that is digitally engaged is better equipped to face competition, will grow faster and have boosted revenue.
All in attendance were warmly welcomed by the nights MC serial entrepreneur Gordon Bourke, the director of Optus James Teopfer and the CEO of NetStripes
Afterwards Robert Vander Wall, the CEO of Sage 8 presented an exciting ice breaker game to help shake things up a bit and give guests the chance to break the pattern and learn about change.
The NetStripes CEO did a presentation on design thinking and the lean start-up model.
Our guest speaker Robb Whitewood, # 1 NLP trainer in Australia was very informative and engaging.
Robb Whitewood, discussed the myths we learn about at school and the realities of business. He encouraged entrepreneurs to focus always on excelling, no matter the circumstances.
Gordon Burke spoke about his experiences and explained how digital engagement changed his perspective on the critical role that strategy plays in the equation of business success. Due to his involvement in building 10 businesses in the last 30 years he described how business growth is an extension of self-growth. He also went on to add that NetStripes is number #1 in terms of delivering digital engagement and sound strategic marketing to clients based from his own experiences as a client.
Afterwards, anticipation reached a new time high with the arrival of ‘Pitchfest’ an exciting game that gives guests the opportunity to split off into groups and present their businesses to one another. Afterward each team elects a winner who then goes on to pitch their enterprise to the entire audience in 30 seconds.
Enthusiasm remained high for the social media contest that followed. Two hot prizes were up for grabs, a phone donated from Optus and 10000 Aquire points.
With all the presentations and games done, the time fast arrived for networking, the part of the evening where the guests take charge and mingle amongst themselves. When 8pm came along, people were still huddled together and enjoying great, stimulating talks that will no doubt disrupt and transform the landscape of small business for years to come.
The room was filled with great energy, a delicious spread, amazing people and lots of fun.
