The wonderful evening was hosted and sponsored by the NSW Small Business Commission. Apart from pledging continued support to the small businesses of NSW, the Commission also sponsored delicious food, drinks and a beautiful venue at MLC centre with breathtaking views.
Bizruption has its own way of making people feel at home and comfortable with the people around. Starting with hugging five people and high fiving other five always helps people loosen up and break the ice. This Bizruption also saw some dash of nostalgia when the group played evergreen games like ‘Simon says’.
The event kicked off with Robyn Hobbs, extending a very warm welcome to the attendees on behalf of the NSW Small Business Commission.
The Minister Hon. John Barilaro was supportive of the idea of businesses being digitally engaged and shared his views about it. He stressed upon the fact that if businesses don’t match up to the changing technology, they have very high risks of failure.
The room was electrified with energy and enthusiasm of the attendees. This helped them in the Networking game when they had to pitch their business to 15 other people. The group then decides winners and they get an opportunity to present in front of the entire audience. It was a sheer delight to watch this entire game in progress.
The event ended with drinks, food and more networking with people having a great time. The smiles on everyone’s face was our biggest satisfaction at the end of the evening.
We will start the Bizruption calendar in the new year on 24th February 2016, mark your calendars. The festive season is coming and team Netstripes wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
