Taking place far away from home, NetStripes forded uncharted waters with their first ever Bizruption in Blacktown. The event took place in the suburbs heart, the Blacktown City Council.
Special thanks goes to PWC, the Blacktown City Council and the Greater Blacktown Chamber of Commerce for their support. This Bizruption would not have been a success if not for their fantastic encouragement and backing.
Sonia Ray once again taking on the role of MC engaged and excited the audience with a fantastic introduction before handing over to Angelo Grasso who started the evening’s proceedings with Pitchfest. An event that gives guests the chance to pitch their businesses to their fellows. Each voted winner from every group then got the opportunity to pitch to the entire room. As always Pitchfest served as an exceptional means of getting guests active and involved in the evening proceedings.
Afterward the NetStripes CEO Dinesh De Silva gave a speech about the four pillars of digital engagement. Generating mass awareness, education, strategy and execution and how all four of these crucial milestones need to work together to compile a solution that generates maximum results.
The Blacktown Bizruption was blessed to have a very special guest of honour, the Hon Ed Husic, a politician and member of the Australian Parliament for Chifley. Husic gave an enlightened talk advocating the importance of digital engagement for small businesses.
Following the speech, the time came to announce the winner of the social media award which awarded one lucky bizrupter 10,000 valuable Aquire points.
With all the presentations concluded it was time for another exciting round of networking. A chance for all the guests to get to know one another, share stories and cause ripples in Australia’s business realm that will no doubt be felt for many years to come.
